Now You’re Thinkin’
The other day Doobins came in and said to Garnet, “You know, Mommy, there are thoughts in my head that you don’t even know about.”
Garnet passed that on to me and I, in turn, told Sparkle Girl what her brother had said.
“Really?” she said.
“Yeah,” I said, “I’m sure you have thoughts in your head that we don’t know about either.”
She started to say, “No, I don’t,” but the phrase didn’t make it all the way out of her mouth. It was cut short by a thought crossing her mind.
From the expression on her face, I could see that it was one of those thoughts that Garnet and I don’t know about.
Apparently, it was a particularly satisfying thought that we don’t know about. Sparkle Girl stopped talking and smiled.
I didn’t say anything. I figured I would just let her enjoy her secret thought.
